The Masterpiece

It was a lovely autumn night; a sixty year old was sick. It was his sixtieth birthday. This old man has been a writer all his life, all he wished was a Masterpiece which will have a great impact will carry his legacy, so with great difficulty he pulled himself up from the bed and realized with his hands shivering he hardly could write an alphabet, so he yelled at his top of his voice for his grandson. Grandchild came running towards him to help him out; the sight of the young boy made the old man shed tears.

The thought of the young child’s miseries crossed over his mind, at such a young age his frequent visit to graveyards than playgrounds which all other normal boys do. All the young boy had left was him and his loving mother. The old man didn’t want to make the young child visit graveyard once more so he was holding to his life dearly. Suddenly he heard the cute voice of his grandson calling out to him, the old man asked him to help him pen down his masterpiece and asked his grandchild to promise him to publish it when the he turns 21.

Many years passed by and the grandfather left this world as he couldn’t see the grandchild face more miseries in his life. It was time for the masterpiece to be published the grandson obliged and as he had promised he hadn’t read the book till he was given the first copy, when he read it he was all tears to know it was the story of his childhood struggle and how his grandfather wanted his grandchild to be by 21 years. This truly was a Masterpiece from his grandfather.
